Around Villa Escudero - April 19, 2008 : Spent the day at Villa Escudero with a few friends courtesy of Mela Balcazar. Thank you so much Mela for having us and for being such a wonderful host. I was supposed to take photos of different birds, flowers and landscapes but a good friend, Romy Ocon, advised me to take as much photos as I can of the Indigo Banded Kingfisher since it is the ONLY place where one can take photographs of the bird at a very close distance. Villa Escudero is an excellent place to go birding since they have a lot of birds in the area and the people there are very protective of the birds around them. This place is nature at it's best - so many trees, beautiful landscapes, flowers, streams, rivers, insects and so many more surprises. I turned all these photos into some kind of digital art. Anvaya Cove 2008 : Spent my birthday at this beautiful place in Morong, Bataan. It was supposed to be a bird photography trip that turned into 3 beautiful days enjoying this marvelous place. The bed in our Lagoon Casita was truly made in heaven - you would hate getting up in the morning but look forward to sleeping in it early in the evening. I got the rest that I needed at this place :)

Mountain Province, Philippines : Had a very pleasant stay at this wonderful place called Mt. Data Hotel located in the town of Sinto Bauko, Mountain Province. The landscape going to the place was breathtaking. Most of my shots were taken inside a moving car so excuse some of the photos please. Must warn everyone though that the nights are pretty cold at this place. Bring 2 sets of comforters with you if you can or really warm clothes to wear at night. The food is really good, not excellent but really, really good. Loved their french toast with a side order of bacon ;-) The place is so peaceful that you constantly hear the birds chirping all over. The gardens are a treat too. It's not a 5 star hotel but the stay there is quite comfortable. It's a bird watcher's paradise.

Daluyon Beach and Mountain Resort : We stayed at this resort in Sabang, Palawan. They still need to improve A LOT when it comes to customer service. There were so many unnecessary things that could have been prevented if only they would learn to LISTEN to what their customers are saying. Very beautiful place - that is their BIG plus.
